My wife at the last miniute ordered my Christmas present a100-400 mm L lens because B & H had overnight shipping for free. She was going to wait till after Christmas thinking it would or could not get here before Christmas till she saw the one day air was free so I'm getting it for Christmas to open
Good for me and thanks for listening to my rambling hope your Christmas is as good as mine

Brown came here about an hour ago, dropped off a 17-40 from Amazon. Best part is I didn't even have to open the box, Brown had done that for me!

When the guy in brown shorts dropped off my 40D a few years back, I was watching TV in the back of house, and I heard the box hit the ground at the front door. I was not impressed.

IMO, none of the three major shippers out there are any better than the other... or worse ...
the differences between USPS, UPS, and Fedex are minimal.. None treat your package any better or worse than the other. All tend to get worse around the holidays with all of the things shipped during the Christmas season..

FedEx Saturday overnight delivery (free from MacMall for orders placed Friday) brought Mom's new iMac by 11:00 am Saturday. UPS cited in climate weather as the reason why 3 of my packages were not delivered Friday before Christmas. I'm much happier with FedEx this week.
