Great shot. I like that tight crop. And, if that was my cat, the picture would be on the wall.

The eyes do look cool. I agree with above that it looks a little "nuked".

Perhaps it's a combination of lens characteristics and oversharpening in post, but the artifacting on the nose is off-putting.

That's awesome you were able to get that shot. Photographing animals is really tricky.

I think this definitely looks oversharpened. Also I would have cropped less tightly, and I would not have used on-axis flash.

Speedlight with a difuser on it, I really didn't crop this, was that close :)

Bouncing it might have worked better, I agree - just got the diffuser so was playing around with it.
