S100 Photo Thread!

how far away were you from the subject? I'm just trying to figure out if the flash is faulty or this is how it's supposed to be. I have to be extremely close to get any kind of lighting to bounce off the subject.

First picture I was a meter away (3.2 feet,I think) fully zoomed in,second I was a little closer but also zoomed in on my daughter.I use M mode when I'm using flash and use minimum power.Usually underexpose by around 2 stops.

Thanks everyone for the replies, turns out I did have my fingers on the flash the two nights ago causing all the bad photos. I shot this time using only my right hand to eliminate my left hand holding the camera. I swapped over to JPG and brought the camera to work with me hoping to get some real shots finally.

After 3 years of shooting DSLR never thought I'd be this bad at this little P&S...LOL

AAAAAHHHHHH hahahahah! That's awsome. I knew it! I was doing the same thing and still do it from time to time. athe main reason I switched from the G series to the S100 was for the size. But it sure is small! Glad you got it figured out and don't have to deal with waranty stuff. Now post em up!

Sorry, i just love the special effect settings on the s100. Like so many, I think I'm getting much better results w/ jpegs than Raw. My RAW are coming out fairly grainy even at ISO 400.

Just picked this up as a backup camera. This little thing is awesome! It's like having a mini DSLR even though it's a Point 'n Shoot camera but with DSLR features. Will post some pics soon!

Had a nice evening of hauling in fatties like this one last night! Owyhee River, eastern Oregon (about an hour or so from Boise). Glad I had the S100 in the pocket!

Thanks! I wish I had more time to get some other shots, but it is what it is. The camera was a blast to use and I found the underwater setting was pretty accurate. I loved the macro mode and ability to shoot manual
