There's no way I can compete with some of the amazing work in this thread, but I'll throw up two examples of why I love this camera.

This was taken while riding my bicycle over the Mass Ave Bridge from Boston to Cambridge. I don't think there are many cameras that you can whip out of your pocket and fire off a shot while riding and looking to make sure you've got a break in traffic for the entire frame while still getting this sort of image quality.

And this one is what it can do on a little GorillaPod, with the built-in ND filter on. If I was less lazy, I'd actually boot up in MacOS so I could try to recover more of the highlights from the RAW file. Nothing in Linux seems to work well with the S100's RAW format.

Nice images 4wd! Mine is going to canon tomorrow for the lens error. I thought after 2 years I was lucky, but no luck. I'm going to miss it while it's gone.

I usually bring the S100 and the M when I go fishing. This is a greyling, or at least the dorsal fin, of a greyling - the lady of the stream. Photo taken with the S100.

Indeed! I've gotten some nice shots with the S100 while hiking and really appreciate the pocket size form factor and overall good performance for such a small camera. Although I must say, that first image you posted almost made me drop my drink! haha ;)
