Sorry for the noob question. Is there anything like Lightroom for video? For photos, and even videos, taken with my 5DII I use LR.

I also have a cheap Canon FS100 video camera, and just wondering what I could use to import its videos? LR doesn't see them. There are .MOD and .MOI files on the card, the MOD files appear to be the important ones?

Just manually copying them over at the moment, but all just into one folder. How do you organise your files?

First I have to ask, what video edit software are you planning on using. That might give some here an idea of how to help you answer the questions posed.

Personally I've been pretty happy with Sony Vegas. They off a 30 day free trial download. Once you see the workflow of the edit, it may become more apparent to you how to transfer and organize you files.

Personally I just have a portable HD that I create different folders for each project and name them appropriately. Then I grab the video files I need from that folder and use them as needed.

I've got Adobe CS4 - Premiere Pro etc. The videos are just family type ones, so projects wouldn't be relevant, probably dates or events better. I think.
