I am unable to tell for sure if this is a Cooper's or a Sharp-Shinned Hawk. Is anyone able tell? :confused:

It's a juvenile accipiter. Looking at its strong feet, I believe it's a Cooper's juvie but what do i know. :lol: Very nice shots!

it is an immature coopers hawk, for sure. You can clearly see the rounded tail, nice shots

That's what I was thinking. I believe it is right on. The book shows very little differences between Cooper's and Sharp-shinned. They are usually flying too fast to photograph and hardly ever do they come out in the open in good light around here.
