Hi all,

A lot of our posts along the way have included photos of our Bluebird family in various stages of their lives here. Our mother bird Missy and 3 of her daughters from this past season are still with us and I've included shots of them in recent posts, but this time we'd like to feature just the "boy birds"...

This is Ben, our father Blue:

And these are his sons:

All the fledges from this year's 1st nesting are longsince off to seek their own fortunes, and the 3rd nest clutch was lost to a House Wren prior to hatching. So all these remaining juveniles are from the 2nd and 4th nests, (currently there are 3 girls and 5 boys still here). We hope that at least some of them will stay the Winter with their parents, but we know they will all be on their way by Spring. And as always we take a lot of photos of them while we can.

We hope you enjoy them, and wish everyone here good birding in the coming new year.

Kenn

Ben is very handsome! And he and Missy sure have been busy this past year. Wonderful to see their sons. Beautiful images, Kenn.

Happy Christmas to you and Temple!
