hi guys,

I am a 500px user and for a long time I have been wanting to pp my images like this (external link) .

It's like it is more an illustration rather than a photograph but still I really really like it. I can't find anything on lynda nor Kelby. I have tried to google it but all searches come back with websites that teach you hwo to change your image into a drawing.

Where do I sart in CS5?
I am not expecting anyone would reveal their secrets but just a little nudge in the right direction would appreciated.

Im not sure either but Im thinking it may not be CS5. Google digital art Photoshop and you should loads of information.
Also maybe contact Adobe,Id bet they could point you in the right direction or narrow your search anyway.
They have posts with this flavor over at photo.net all the time..Maybe there as well?
Sorry not much help I know..good luck!

He uses CS3. I know he has a Facebook link on his 500px site, you should befriend him. I have seen his work on here before. It's amazing. I would like to learn some of this myself.

Not that hard in fact it's easier then you might expect but perfecting the look with proper angles may take some practice.

Thanks guys,

'digital art in photoshop' did return quite a lot of links. I will dive into my little research. Any more tips much appreciated.

He has some nice work. A quick look tells me that you will have to know how to do selections very well, understand layers and masking as well there is use of other tools such as the smudge tool. It's not something that you are going to master in a few minutes but his Facebook page does show the images he has used to create some of his works. I would study some of them and then search for tutorials on individual tools that you think you will have to use to accomplish the look you want.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.
