I recently got back into photography, with non other than the 5dmkII. My old style was heavy in processing, I'm trying to get away from that. I going for more of a warming it up a little, maybe some added contrast. Needless to say I still need to learn about curves in photoshop and how to use them effectively. If anyone has some sort of informative link on curves I would appreciate it. The composition isn't amazing, but oh well.

Great image, great subject.

I would lose the sunglasses and I think the focus seems to be on his nose and not his eyes..

*This is my opinion and not a professional opinion

Yes I can see that now. I was having him walk towards me, my camera was in al servo mode. I've seen a number of photographers do, the whole walk towards him, as he's walking backwards. Are they most likely using al servo?

you shot this at 1.4, the focal plane will be pretty thin at that aperture, stop the lens down some.
