17-70 is almost always on the camera and the 50 1.8 is in the small, everyday 'grab and go' bag, along with a 430 EXII. I don't usually carry any more than that unless I know I'll be shooting something that requires a different FL range. If we go on a trip/vacation somewhere, a bigger bag comes along with the 10-22, 70-300 and/or 70-200 2.8 in it.

I used to take just the 17-55 and the 70-200 but now I am also putting in the 100 macro and 580 flash just in case  , when I get a 100-400 I am going to have to plan a bit better, can't take everything :(

If it's just walk around.....

5DII and 24L

Rarely anything else. I may drop the 85/1.8 in a pocket.

If it differs, it's because I have a "plan" for that day.

If I'm out shooting landscapes
ZE 21 and C/Y 35-70. Now sometimes, I'll add the Nikon 105 AIS

If I'm out shooting family or pretty much anything else
Sigma 50, Nikon 105 + Flash

If I'm out shooting macro
MP-E 65, C/Y 35-70 + Flash.

So, I guess I usually carry two lenses. :D

Like others have said, for a walk around no more than a couple of lenses - usually the 10-22 and the 17-55. Depending on location and reason fro walk, I may only take the 70-200 with 1.4x tc, or I may take only a macro lens. I just don't want the hassle of always swapping lenses on a local walkabout when I have the option of going back to the same location again with a different kit if it seems warranted.

For a day trip or more in the car, then I may take everything I own.... which ain't nearly as much as most on this forum (although I hope to get closer tomorrow with the purchase or ordering of a 100 f2.8 L macro ;) ).

For an average day of shooting in my world:
- 500mm f/4L IS
- 300mm f/2.8L IS
- 70-200mm f/2.8L IS
- 24-70mm f/2.8L or 17-40mm f/4L*
- 135mm f/2L**

* 17-40 if I know I'll have airport ramp access
** The 135 is my "secret weapon" for shooting artistic details. ;)

16-35 and a 50 for general personal work. If I'm on assignment it's any combination of 16-35, 24-70, 70-200, 300, 400, and primes.

when i go out and want to carry light, i'll just bring my 5d2, 17-40 and 50 1.4. they are my 2 lightest/smallest lenses and for a walk around it works very well. or i could just bring my 24-70.

Depends what I think I might be shooting. Often just the one, 24-70. Occasionally two, 24-70 and 70-200. Sometimes three, 24-70 and 70-200 plus whatever I think will give me an extra edge that either of the two listed can't give me. That might be a nifty if I think I am going to be shooting in low light, a 100 macro if I think close ups are going to be a possibility or a 100-400 if I think I am going to need the reach.

My most common combo when going out is 35L + 135L or 70-200 with the 5D2.

i usually have an idea of what i will be shooting - so i bring accordingly.
on big trips i bring the 10-22, 24-105, 70-200 and the 100 macro
but if i am going small i usually just do the 24-105 for its versitility (but is uncommon that I don't bring at least 2-3 lenses)

Usually two lenses:
- One wide angle : 17-40L or Zuiko 24mm f/2.8 or 35mm Samyang f/1.4, depending of the ambient light & dof I want...
- One portrait lense : 70mm macro or 85mm f/1.4
