Hi everyone, i'm thinking of installing ML on my 600d but i dont have a card reader. Does anyone know if it is possible to copy the contents of the zip onto the sdhc card via the camera? Would that mess the camera up or would it not take effect until i reboot?

if your "thinking" about it, meaning your not in a hurry, I would just spend the 10 bucks on a card reader before you did.

It's something you should have anyway.

Very true actually, I was intending to get a card reader after i realised the one i have installed does not read sdhc. I think ill do that first, to be safe.

With 16,000+ posts, I'm surprised that you had not ran across the term once or twice before.. Or did you think that the term had something to do with baseball ?

He's not alone.
I was about to ask the same thing. I was reading through the thread to see if there was a clue as to what was meant.
I thought it was an abbreviation for one of those stupid nicknames that people give to lenses so that they appear to be more knowledegable than they are.

it actually lives on your sd card. it doesn't replace the firmware, rather it runs with or on top of it. i installed it last night to see what all the hype was about. it's a pretty interesting piece of software. it expanded some options, offered a few that aren't on the 60D, and when you want it gone, it's easy enough to get rid of. i switched out the sd card with another that didn't have it on, and was fine. when i put the card with the files on it back into the camera, it was there as well. there are a lot of tutorials around that can show you the info. as stated earlier, it's mostly for video work, but it does offer a few things for photography you might be interested in.
