From camera to external hard drive.

I'm trying to import my raw files from the camera directly to my external through LR3 and i get an error saying the files cant be read. Any help would be appreciated.

On the top of LR when you are in the import window, is the ADD highlighted?

Go to Lightroom Help and select the Help/Check for Updates function -- your Raw processing "engine" may need to be updated to handle 7D Raw files.

When LR3 is importing from a camera or a card reader the only options available are Copy and Copy As DNG. What would be the sense of cataloging the files and leaving them on the card alone?
