So I'm having much more difficult time carrying my camera bag in full gear with my aching back. So i'm now considering a rolling case or rolling backpack.

It needs to fit the following

(2) Canon bodies with grip (full frame and crop)
(3) 580EX flashes
Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS
Canon 24-70 f2.8
Canon 85mm f1.8
Canon 50mm f1.8
Tamron 17-50 f2.8
potential for 1 or 2 more lenses (any recommendations once the funds come in. thinking 24-105 for walkaround or 135L)

Pixel flash battery pack
20+ AA batteries and charger
several camera batteries and chargers
several CF cards
and other misc items

I currently have all this in a Lowepro CompuTrekker Plus but its a bit heavy when I also have a laptop inside and tripod attached to it. I've knocked out quite few people swinging the bag on to my shoulders.

Any help is appreciated

I'd get a Pelican case for that. You probably won't be able to fit all that into a Pelican 1510 but definitely in a size or two up.

I think I have this model you can bring it as a carry on (but my flight I took it went under the plane was not happy) other than that I love the bag it rolls easily but it does not fit everything I have so I really could use another one.

Forgot the link, but it is one of the Tamrac roller bags you can carry on.

I used a Lowepro CompuTrekker Plus for many years. A great bag, holds a ton, which is also a drawback. I got tired of lugging that around and moved to the Pelican 1510. It dosen't hold as much, but I do like the roller feature.

In the 1510 right now: 5D and 7D bodies. Two 580's and a 430. 8-15, 16-35, 24-70, 85(1.8), 50(1.4) and 70-200 lenses. Sekonic L758dr, CPL and small assortment of Cokin filters, two Plus II's and a few pieces of Honl modifiers. And, of course the requsite batteries, cords, cleaning implements and manuals.

It's heavy. Recently it's been RT USA to Germany, carry on, without incident. Other than being opened and swabbed at EVERY check point.

Look at Think Tank's rollers. I will get one soon. Best bags on the market. My opinion. Pricey, but worth every penny.

be safe and well. George

The Lowepro Pro Roller x300 would probably fit all of your equipment. I just got the x200 and that one might be a little too small. They are pretty nice rolling bags and can covert to a backpack (pretty large) if need be. ThinTank also has a Logistics Manager which would definitely hold everything and then some. It is not cheap but their products are top notch.

So I'm having much more difficult time carrying my camera bag in full gear with my aching back.

Take a look at the Kata Fly-By-76 (external link). I paid $265+tax at a local brick & mortar shop. The trolley was not included, but I did get one for my aching back.
