Ugh! Someone stop me. Keep looking at the 70-200 2.8 IS MKII and finding them for about $2,000 and then keep finding MKI for around $1,600. I keep justifying the $400 difference and know I shouldn't, but if I'm going spend that much already shouldn't I be totally happy?

They aren't even the same lens, the difference is huge. Save that 400$, it's worth it.

Great shot Alex! Here's a more ''wintery'' one for you, from yesterday's shoot :p

Alex, really love the shot and post. Is there a specific filter you used in post to get that vintage-y feel? Love it!

Alright 60D fellas and ladies I need some help here. I went to rent a 24-70 today and they didn't have it so I asked about a 24-105 and it was already reserved. Then they offered to let me rent a used one they had for sale...for $599.

I was wondering what the catch was when he said the price but then I found out what the catch was...

They say that the scratches don't affect photo quality at all which I'll find out today since I rented it. However, if I like it. Do you guys think I should pick it up? Maybe offer $550 for it instead of 600?

Everything else is in great shape, but it doesn't have a front cap.

Edit: there is also a lot of dust on the front glass, not all the specs are scratches, just the obvious ones in the middle

if it were me i would say no. then again it takes alot to scratch a lens and when done it makes me wonder what else has happened that cannot be seen. just my 2 cents. plus id rather have a 24-70 over this lens in particular.
