My intention was to get the DC logo in focus and the rest whatever. But it was super cold outside and my legs were soaked and freezing. I coulda swore water in the Gulf was supposed to be warm! haha.

I was on a pretty tight budget and I found a really good deal on the lens and from what I can tell, it works just great.

Ahh good to hear, can't wait to see some photos!~ :D

It looks pretty spot on to me. I think the Gulf is freezing over right now anyways..Texas sure is.

Nope, they just aren't for me and just don't cover the focal length that I need. I need more reach than the 50 and less width than the 17 for sports.

I will also get a 10-22 or sigma 10-20 in the next few months and my kit will be complete!

I quite like the vast upgrade of the Clarity slider...

much of the aura/halo (of Lr3) is diminished - and in some cases like moon shots - Clarity does a superb job that "Sharpen" tools sure can't do....

Yep - Lr4 b is a major thumbs up! ...much looking forward to additional and improved features in the final release.. I'm sure they are holding a few nice surprises back that will wow us.

vinmunoz - have you actually seen any documentation that they revamped the noise reduction in some way? you mention it is 'much' better but I've not seen any info that it had been touched. Except for the fact that a simple noise reduction slider (+ a few others) has been added to the Adjustment Brush & Gradient Filter.

Regardless - Very much liking what ACR 7b has done for the "Basic" Module sliders...

Happy valentines everyone!

I just learned that Lightroom 4 is a must. I love the highlights and shadow sliders. The noise reduction is much better. I also love it's video capability.

agree on the clarity, no more halo artifacts. it's the reason why i don't use clarity in LR3, i sharpened my images using High Pass in Photoshop.

Noise Reduction
I have the beta and when you adjust the luminance, you will see the result dynamically on the image right away. Unlike the LR3 where sometimes you will see only the result after exporting or when you zoom in. No documentation.

Another great improvement is when you can adjust the white balance in different areas using the adjustment brush.

Any info on the tentative date of release?

Didn't know about the WB with just the brush, I must have overlooked that. I want LR4 to release now..but no known release dates. :(
