I love my 60D, but how many of you are planning to upgrade if a 70D comes out? What major changes would make it worth it to you?
Any word on when the 7DmkII will be released?

Any word on when the 7DmkII will be released? For me the only real upgrade would be to a FF, and even then I find the use of the articulating screen very useful for the types of shots I like to take 7D Mark ii l 100mm f/2.8 l 70-200mm f/2.8 l Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 l Tamron 10-24mm l 430EXII

I think it would be typical for 60D users to eventually upgrade to the 7D or 7DII, and Rebel users to upgrade to the XXD or 7D. The 70D or whatever they shall call it would have to have a major 'upgrade' for current 60D users to buy in, but usually the new models are more of a 'update' than upgrade.

I'll just wait for high ISO samples to make a final decision. I think it premature to judge. For the last few years Nikon sensors have had fewer MPs and the images and Nikon's reputation didn't seem to suffer too much. Its more than megapixles that determine a good picture as you know. We may be pleasantly surprised to find out the 5DIII is the better camera. If it is, maybe the MP wars will finally be over. Mark

I upgraded to the 60D from my 50D mainly for the better ISO, smaller grip, and true Auto ISO, important to my type of shooting. The flipity screen was a nice perk. based on the 60d and the 7d that I have owned, the 60d is actually better in low light. a lot better.
