Oh, and the PAL vs. NTSC thing shouldn't effect your shots at all but you'll want to switch it if you're in the states and you want to playback video on our tv's. PAL is European standard and NTSC is North American. I think it's a different aspect ratio or something. I don't think it effects video playback on computers, but I think it would stretch a bit on a tv.

Hi Kris, I remember some of your Motocross pics from the lens threads and you have some great shots. You should be getting at least the same results from the 60D, strange. Is it a new body, or used? I wonder if there's dust or something on the sensor messing with the focus. Do you have any sample 100% crops showing the problem?

Hey man, I appreciate you trying to help. I'm trying to do everything the same exact way I did with my 50D, but the results are surprisingly way off. The body is brand new fresh out of the box. In this thread: https://photography-on-the.net …read.php?t=1168213&page=2 , I have all my issues backed up with photos if anyone has had my problems, and knows what todo.
Thanks!

One guess I can make is that maybe before your software upgrade there were some defaults being applied to your RAW files on import(sharpness, clarity, vibrance, saturation) that aren't being applied anymore with the software upgrade and new camera body. Do you still have your 50D? If you could do some fresh test shots with both bodies and bring those into your new software you might get an idea what's going on. I'm no expert, but I think a RAW file from either camera with all settings wiped out is going to look a little soft, not very saturated, and maybe even a bit under-exposed. I know the screen on the 60D is a lot brighter too, I turned mine down because it was making the shots look a lot brighter than they were. Those are just my thoughts, hopefully some others on here can chime in and help out as well. The 60D thread is a great bunch of helpers! :)

I think that since I switched to Canon just over a year ago, I think that I'm past due for duck shots.

Walking home from work tonight, and I came upon the tulip from a couple days ago (the red tulip bud in the bars in a rainstorm.) Only two days later, and it's already bloomed and starting to fade:

Finally got around to updating to LightRoom 4 tonight, too. Seems nice and speedy, but boy the different sliders take some getting used to.

A couple more of the tulips, because they're so pretty:

I am rather new to the Forum. I have attached a photo and provided a link to Flickr. How do I make a phot show up in my post? I can't seem to figure that out?

when you're at the picture you want to share on Flickr click on the share button above the picture and select "Grab the HTML/BBCode" make sure BBcode is selected, select large size then copy the code in the box and paste into your forum post.
Hope that helps.

Guys,

remember i have a photoshoot today? my first time ever.

well, it went good. it's all outdoor so i just used the sun and my reflector.

here's a couple of them. the theme is industrial.

i'm sorry about the huge watermark. the owner is so protective of the images.

these are quick edit. didn't do anything on the skin blemishes yet.
