Hi All, I'm new and have just bought a 600D

I have a 35-105 lens from my 600 'no D'. And I'm trying to see which lenses to buy. Are there any shots on the site, with detail, e,g, insects or hair, so that I can check the detail.

Not 100% sure why you posted this in here If you want samples of various lenses then, to misquote Apple, there's a forum for that

lol...I was talking about Oklahoma City. Which takes me 20-30 minutes to get to from my house. I live in the boonies. But I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have tons of space, lots of privacy, and everything is cheap. My house in most major cities would probably cost a million bucks.

But that also means if we DO have that sort of "art" in the city...I haven't a clue where it is.

Jeremy these are really nice! well done and it looks like the 17-55 is going to be a great addition for you. What are your thoughts so far on the 17-55?

Over the past 2 months I've replaced most of my gear. T2i for 60d, yesterday I got a Sigma 70-200 2.8 OS. This is my first test shot with it, natural light. I'm new to trying to shoot people. Lens seems pretty good though.

Try to save them in sRGB color space before you upload them. I think you are uploading aRGB which does not reproduce well in the web.

Thanks, good info. I'll double check but I'm pretty sure they were saved in sRGB??

I see you're using spot metering, which I think is too hectic while shooting sports especially when dealing with dark uniforms on white ice.

You can probably adjust the white point a bit to get the ice to pop a bit more.

That's just my guess though.

I've experienced the same thing as Mike.

This one seems dull compared to on my editing PC, where it really pops.

I read about sRGB vs aRGB some time ago, they made a big deal about it in Linux (something about color managed browsers as well, IIRC).

I just noticed that you guys are using LR, an Adobe product, so I thought that it would be natural to have aRGB as the default.

It would be nice if you could upload the same image both ways and compare, so we can learn something.
