Canon 60D Users, Unite! (3)

Am I an idiot, deal shopper or just a gear whore? Just picked up the newer canon 70-300 IS USM from a local guy for $195 I know they go for about twice that on ebay and about triple if new, but I just thouhgt the deal was too good to pass up. I already have the older version of the 75-300 IS and the 70-200 IS MKII with the 2X Tele, but sometimes just like to go out and shoot without changing lenses, converters, caps, hoods etc. I figure I can get about $150 out of my old lens and hood, so the whloe thing will only really cost me about 50 bucks and could actually make a bit of money if I needed to sell the new one. Anyhow, help me justify my actions.

I check Craigslist several times a day for those types of deals, no luck yet unfortunately.

That first one is killer, man. The second dude's gonna be jealous (his diet wasn't as clean leading up to the shoot)

Great shots Vinz, I'm sure they will love them. Congrats on your first paid shoot.
Only thing that stands out as out of place for me are the Nikes in the 4th pic you posted.
he should have worn more of a work boot to match the scene. Great shots otherwise..

i know. i didn't like it either but i don't wanna cut his feet. that shoes is a joke for the shoot.

If you don't mind buying a refurb, it's $240 on Canon Direct.

With tax it will be about 260. Might as well 300 and get brand new.

Do you have Lightroom Stro? You might be able to light her up with an adjustment brush.
