I'll try to find one from the US who will be willing to ship to Canada. The 15% taxes here will be killing me. Total price would be 4215$. Body only.

Or a used one from the marketplace here. Or someone here who'd buy it for me, I'll pay him and ship it my way.

Think I'll sale my 60D and the 5DmkII soon for the 5DmkIII. Mainly for AF and ISO performance.

Been thinking along these lines myself. Move to full frame, toss half my glass, sell the 60D, and be halfway to the price of the 5D III

Don't know if you are serious or just sarcastic

Great shot, for the eagles, next time, lay on the grass to their level!

Thanks, and I wish I could have gotten lower, but I couldn't get any lower than 20 feet above their heads. They're in a low enclosure with an elevated path around them...Neither of them can fly. Both are missing at least a part of a wing due to accidents, which is how they wound up in the zoo. If I can find some time to get to processing, I'll post up a few more. I got about 10 good shots of them.

Oh, and I'm being serious. I want the 5D III pretty badly. But out of the lenses I have, I'd only be able to use two of them (the 50mm and the 70-200 IS II). I'd sell the 18-135 kit lens, the Tamron 10-24, and the other couple of not-so-great lenses that I've picked up. Probably wouldn't make it to the halfway point on the 5D III price...But a man can dream

Well, aim for a 5DmkII instead? Still a very good body, for half the price.

Talking about inspiration...

I volunteered to take photos of the church choir where my wife sings. It was quite a challenge!

Low lighting (often ISO 12800, the lowest in the loft was ISO3200 once I got the Great White Father).

Cramped conditions, very difficult to get useful angles.

Difficult to get flattering shots with the people having their mouths open while singing.

Difficult people to photograph (most are older and some have problems with the way they look).

I have about 500 photos to cull through and then PP the useable ones.

I enjoyed the whole week, and I learned a lot about the Catholic Ritual.

Thanks to the people who talked about bighugelabs.com :)

That's Saturday night, it was my birthday, man that night was awesome. I'm paid to have fun, drink and shoot. Gotta love open bar

some cc - the first one is a bit soft and the second one has too much green tinge in my opinion - gives the skin an off color

i do enjoy the butterfly picture though - great shot
