At one point my camera was not recognizing the Photix (in my grip) but I gave the contacts a very light quick cleaning and voila - no issue. For the price - there are various reputable 3rd party batteries out there and I would not hesitate to get Photix again. I've had others with past DSLRs also - with no issues. thanks Life is to short to grow up, have fun, laugh, enjoy the moment, cause a little trouble. I have the link to the Flickr thread but I can't seem to find where to buy the grip. Did not find it on eBay, but I think someone here had posted Canon's phone number from where I could buy it directly. Any help? Thanks! i cant help - besides sending it to canon to fix it that's all i know - they might be able to send you one too 60D, 5DmkIII, 50 f1.8
