I can defiantly see a difference, I'm at work and don't have a calibrated monitor. The top one's colors are much nicer. I wonder if it might make more difference on a cheap un-calibrated monitor?

I thought the same thing but it turned out my laptop monitor displays colors much better at the top of the screen, whereas the bottom is a little washed out, due to the backlight position (also viewing angle).

After looking at both images side-by-side, on my 24" monitor it's much harder to tell a difference between the quality of them.

Ok, well my big concern was that her toes were too close to the border and may have had a little stray sun light hittig her face. She wanted the "playful" candid pic, I hadn't shot it right so her feet were real close. I have one that is better and not so close, so I guess it doesn't matter as long as she's happy right? Anyhow, here are a few more.

the face of the woman in the first image does not look natural to me. i think you're a little bit overboard in softening and adjusting the exposure on her.

Actually David, if you'd looked a little more closely at the Link Mike posted, you'd have seen that they have a section for INTERNATIONAL customers. :)

p.s. I hope you've dried out by now ;)

Dried out.. ?!?

But ya, I missed that part, I'll blame the iPhone :p

@Rivest : Why are you selling you 60D? Getting a 5D3?

Yup, exactly. I was using my 60D mainly for sports and fast action but the new 5D3 AF will be better so I don't think the 60D would get much use. The only thing I'll really loose is reach.

Hi, I'm David.

Thanks :) #1 and #4 were in manual and the rest were AV. The ones in AV are from the borrowed camera in March, which I was still figuring out everything lol and the two in manual were just shot the last few days. I love manual, just takes some getting used to :) Images come out so much cooler when you can control everything.

Hmm, might just be the make up. The only thing I did really was whiten the teeth a tiny bit. Other than that I think the only thing I do that might have softened it a bit was noise reduction. Thanks for the CC though.

I think I know what it is, the face itself looks fine to me. It's that sharp thin shadow that seperates the face from the neck that makes it pop too much (to me). I think 2 and 3 are great, in 4 you can see that thin shadow again but it's at an angle and seems natural. All nice, but 2 & 3 are where the money is at ;)

Thanks! Yea, my husband shoots with a 5DMII and I love it too but it's sometimes to critical. I know they are in no way the same level but I do like what I get for the price.
