I think the t4i is very well set up but its still a rebel form factor.
smaller body, no rear wheel, no top screen.
These are things that make manual shooting easier for us and are not easily able
for me to give up.

I agree the replacement for the 60d will be packed full of Canon goodness. Lets just hope the images that it helps produce are on even better than the current lineup.

What I really want is the 7D replacement with improve ISO performance, DR and VARI-Angle LCD. that's gonna be perfect.

that way i don't have to collect expensive lens for a Full Frame body.

Thanks guys! Yep, all natural light with a reflector used on the last image. I have to admit though, it was kinda hard to take a bad picture of her. ;)

ah only reason why i didn't like it cause purple and blue do not go well with the sepia ish tone of the background - just seems really out of place

I thought the T3i was a very interesting upgrade - with its more robust body and the vari-angle LCD and fun filters... then we saw post after post, month after month on this forum: T3i or 60D??

well wow - now yet another major upgrade for the Rebel line....

I find it very interesting and telling - and revealing about what to expect in the 60D & 7D replacements...

The T4i got a new Focus system - which is the 40D/50D/60D focus system. Well if a "Rebel" inherited that - then it seems likely the new 60D (call it the 70D, 60D mkII, etc, we don't know until its announced) will not only inherit at least much of the 7D's AF system - but probably some 'new' AF feature as well. Of course we can count on getting 'at least' all the 'new new' features the T4i got.

I doubt the new 60D will get the 5D III's Digic 5+ processor - but I bet the new 7D will (and of course it will have dual processor's of some sort akin the current 7D and new 5D III). We can of course count on the new 60D getting the new 'standard' Digic 5 - but if the T4i now has a fast 5 fps with the Digic 5 (and new shutter mechanism) - what could we expect for the new 60D?? If the mega-pixels remain at 18 resolution - will it get 7fps? One must ask how much is Canon purposely holding back the fps of the T4i if the new 60D gets 7 or so fps... just pondering...

Dpreview.com's Preview said something very interesting, and I quote:
"The problem facing camera manufacturers is that the basic SLR concept is in danger of appearing anachronistic to the very people entry-level models are supposed to appeal to...."

Before buying my first DSLR (XSi) I bought the SX10 and man - did I love the "extras" it came with - in fact I customized my shutter to sound like a doggie squeekie toy! Powershot P&S camera have those fun extras but then the higher up the DSLR food chain you go - the less 'fun extras' you get. (in fact the fun extras stop at the 60D with "Creative Filters") If Canon wants to get more females shooting DSLR's - they best include more fun 'cute' stuff, is my thinking...

As 60D users - most of us love the flippity LCD and I myself use it daily and will look for it in my next body upgrade. Its very telling that Canon sees it as still a non-pro feature because it was not included on the new 5D mkIII. I bet most 5D III users would LOVE a vari-angle LCD! But oh no, not yet... it carries the 60D stigma and its not ready for "pros" yet. I'd be quite surprised if the new 7D gets it - yet - it will eventually be on every model including the 1D series because at the Very Least - it acts as a natural LCD protector when flipped inwards. Smart.

I think its very exciting to contemplate what new upgraded features the new 60D & 7D will get. If the new 60D gets micro-adjustment and a new AF system - I'm in. Absolutely - and the rest would be icing on the cake. If fact I hope the new Nikon D7000 replacement is released before the 60D so it pushes Canon to 'do the right thing' ;)
If the 7D gets the vari-angle LCD and 5D III features... well I may have to 'splurge' ;)

Exciting times ahead! Thanks for reading ~
