Thanks, I'm gonna go look at it tomorrow, the seller said he purchased it in May 2011 so its less than a year old, this would mostly likely be my last lens for a while, kind of the last part to the cheap mans kit

It is a great lens, I purchased one about a month ago and love it. I mostly use it indoors (with flash or high iso) and have no real need to the VC.

New 60D owner here...could anyone please confirm (or not) that if I shoot raw+jpg and later on dont want the raw file, I cant delete just the raw file from the camera and keep the jpg file (or vice versa) and would have to delete both? On the S95 I am able to select the format I want to delete for an image (jpg, raw or jpg+raw), but on the 60D there is no capability to do so?

You've achieved the nice, white background but I think the face can be lit a bit better. It's just looking a bit dull imo

MakisM1 wrote in post #13677014 (external link)
Should I up the power on the main light?

Sent you PM

IMO your subjects face is plenty illuminated. Athe problem lies in your background light being too overexposed to the main light and possibly also your subject being too close to such a string light is causing the background to cast unwanted light on the subject instead of doing it's job of just illuminating the background... Or a combination if both, which can happen in a close quarters home studio environment.

Fir starters, back off the power of your background light and bring your subject OFF the wall or background being illuminated then look at the difference.

I'm hoping they refined the sharpening brush. I really want the ability to define the sharpening in more detail when I brush it rather than a slider.

This is the one feature that has me using Aperture more than Lightroom.

Thanks! :) I was trying to make the first one look sort of '80's but it kind of just looks noisy, lol. I thought it would be fun if it looked like a '70's-'80's arcade machine photo... with an iPad in it. :)

Thanks Chris, it was ISO 100, 1/50 sec. f/2.8 with the 70-200 2.8 mk. II.

The third shot isn't too interesting subject-wise, but I though it was cool that I got it at ISO 4000 and the noise cleaned out nicely with Lightroom.
