^^ I'm not so sure if you have the option to just erase the Raw files. When you erase one photo, doesn't it erase both JPG and RAW?
Yes, thats what I believe to be the case now

Why don't you set the camera to only record JPG files rather that RAW + JPG since you are deleting the RAW file anyways? When you are in that option menu just scroll the shutter wheel to the left til it hits the "-" icon on the RAW row. But I just tested the RAW + JPG option and on the camera the card shows only one file written, but on the computer shows both. So you can't delete the RAW on the camera without deleting the JPG.
I mostly shoot family outing photos. If theres a picture that comes out great but needs some PP (white balance, sharpening etc) I will use the raw file and delete the jpg. If I have a picture where it comes out ok, want to keep it for memory purposes and doesnt deserve PP, I will keep the jpg and delete the raw. Looks like with this camera I will now be shooing only in raw and converting to jpg with DPP or LR3. Wish it had the function like the new S series P&S where you are able to select the format you wish to delete. Oh well, maybe the new line of EOS cameras will have this capability. Thanks!
