Great idea, but too few shots so far.

Not sure if these are surreal or absurd, but the Surrealists didn't know until after the event either:

Does this belong to the category of 'surrealism'?

Thanks for comment Wu ;) and try to cope with your students without experiencing this ...

I noticed that you have many very interesting photos posted in Forums (thanks for sharing), but would like to see the picture (currently unavailable) of this tempting thread (which could be linked to this surrealism theme as well): https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=105803

To answer the question 'what is surrealism?': FISH!
 :p

ha ha ha only joking.....

To me surrealism is NOT just incongruous juxtapositioning of arbitrary elements, it IS an image (or text, but text is also image) that invites us to question our perception of reality or check our understanding of meaning.

It is NOT just ignorant meaninglessness or meaninglessness for the sake of it; meaninglessness alone is not a qualification for surrealism unless that meaninglessness provokes meaning.

The surreal vision and surreal intent behind the taking or making and conveying of the image is what makes it surreal. That requires the artist to have a sense of the surreal, and to be able to communicate it.

HA! that's my favorite lightbulb joke!!
How many surrealists does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
FISH!

always cracks me up. My students look at me like I'm weird though! lol
They don't appreciate this joke either-

"what has 4 legs and barks?"

Heard that one?
Just not sure what is wrong with those young'uns!

Right you are; and image is text, as well.
I'd sure like to see more images added to this thread.

cool (oops pun not intended)

Might it work if you perhaps change it in phsp by haveing an slightly darker adjustmernt layer where you had just painted in the faces ever so slightly so it was more obvious to the casual observer?
