Camel's Hump - 27 december 2011
I just spent a bit of time on the Tidbinbilla Ranges up at Camel's Hump and down in the wetlands and thought I'd share what I experienced. *As usual I took another person for safety's sake as well as some company.*
The heavy camera backpack walk up from the Cascades car-park was the usual shock to the body for the first 500 metres, but after that the body-machine takes over and falls into a rhythm. The air was moist but cool, seasoned with the occasional stifling wafts of blossom and that wet-compost smell. There was plenty of bird-life on the way up, including grey fantails, wrens, shrikes, parladotes, black cockatoos, sulphur crested cockatoos, lyrebirds, wattlebirds, magpies, crows, currawongs, white-winged cloughs and more.

Not sure how to embed utube videos on the forum. Nothing I've tried seems to work on this one.
