Here's a couple from a hike the other morning to Two Rivers Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was brutally windy with the snow blowing around as you can see if you look for it in these shots. Hopefully, these were worth the effort.

We miss timed our hike and didn't make the lake before sunrise, but a quick stop in the hike paid off with this sunrise shot. Check out the snow in the trees.

Here's one looking at Notchtop Mountain across Two Rivers Lake. The lead in lines appear to raised footprints. They were about 1" tall and are a bit of a mystery, but they did make a nice lead in to the scene.

Nice shots.

Interesting footprints. Probably someone on snowshoes walking across new snow and packing the snow down. The light stuff around the prints blew away leaving his packed down prints.

I have to get out of the house more often. I'm envious of all the great shots everyone posts.

Yeah, I'd say it was worth the hike! Are you still using the Luminosity Mask technique? If so, it is working well for your processing.

Such majestic shots. The colors are outstanding, I particulary like the sky in the first and the blue in the second one.

This is as good a theory as any and may very well be what happened. I tried to capture the raised aspect of the prints, but don't think I did them justice. I like the way the shot came out overall, but I think I could have highlighted the prints better.

I still do, but not on these. Both were manually blended using various selection techniques.
