Hi everyone, it's my first thread in this section. It's also one of my first dip in macro work, hoping to learn a ton!

I chose an easy subject, he stayed still until I was satisfied with my shot ;)

60D + 35L at MFD + 34mm of tubes, about 90% of cropping. 1/60, F8, ISO 800, Handheld.

If my math is right, it's around a 5:1 magnification with the crop.

Anyone got something to say?

Hi, I'm David.

As for the technical part, it's written right under the picture:

60D + 35L at MFD + 34mm of tubes, about 90% of cropping. 1/60, F8, ISO 800, Handheld.

As for the shot itself, I used a sniper breathing technique, breath in, breath out slowly, shoot. I had my left hand's fingers against the window holding the tip of my 35L. Took a couple of tries but had a clear shot after ten shots or so.
