This was one of my first night time, long exposure shots (and maybe 2 months into using my camera). My buddy and I found an empty parking garage and parked his car on the roof with no immediate light; couple of light posts from the adjacent freeway.

Shot these @ 3 sec, 400 ISO and f/3.5 with an 8mm fisheye

Held up his windsheild visor to bounce the flash

It's a start, but why not 6 sec @ ISO 200, or 12 sec @ ISO 100? See the links in my Sig, and...

Because I hadn't figured out my camera yet, and I didnt have a tripod. I took a deep breath and held the cam still while it was on my camera bag :)

OK, but if it's balanced on your camera bag, maybe try the self timer next time? ;) And a small bag of rice would allow tweaking the camera angle.
