I usually shoot 1/800 or 1/1000 of a second. I find that the 1/800 seems to produce the best results. I have tried faster shutter speeds and I can actually freeze the paintball in mid air but it looks fake because the image of the ball is not blurred

No, I do not have fast reflexes but I do have many memory cards…at this three-day event I shot over 10,000 images. I find if you shoot this many pictures you are bound to get a few keepers

Man i wish i could of went.But i`ve decided to quit Paintball as i think Photography is more important.Man i wish i could shoot at NPPL events, That would be sweet.Your pretty lucky.And nice pictures.

Yes, I defiantly use the “shotgun method”…since I was sent by one of the magazines if I came back empty handed there would be no more work for me so I am not taking any chances...
If you take this many pictures even a dolt like me is bound to get that money shot

I understand & would do the same thing, but man, I'd hate to have to edit all those. The saying goes something like, "Even a blind pig will sometimes find an acorn". ;)
