First off I'd like to say i'm not trying to turn this into a business, I'll leave that to the patient talented people. I own & operate a small swimming pool service and photography is a hobby.

I made this website ( www.tomcrossshots.com (external link) ) as an easy access photo album for myself and the user. And I can't seem to get a good vibe going on it as far as keeping people's attention to want to browse around. Any suggestions?

As far as the hobby goes, Im not trying to make money with my photos but I have a purchase option should anyone want to kindly pay for their image, I've had people pay for the full size downloads when they could right click and save anyway and I like that option. Now having said that, my images do feel a bit disposable but all my friends and family say they're great (being kind of course) and I'm wondering if you guys could critique my images/site from a strangers point of view. I'd like to be able to take proper, perhaps even occasional great photographs much like a person who isn't in a band can play the piano properly or a whole in the wall restaurant still offering a little 'presentation' on the plate, if that makes sense to you all, is there an editing feature that my images might be missing that could add a bit of spice so to speak?

This might be asking a lot and probably came out awkward, but I appreciate your time and comments/suggestions.

Happy new year, despite the apocalyptic beliefs that are around I think good things will happen this year.

Many nice photos Tom. Other then the title bar, I don't know who this site belongs too. I understand it's more of a personal, friend/family gallery, would be nice to add a little information about yourself and the intent of the page is as you mentioned above. Happy new year.

Thanks, I'll think about something to put up there.
