@andy I had not noticed that either

not sure about double twelve but then I cannot think of anything else.

I think picking them in advance has its merits

One of the problems during the year was getting the topic set for each week, there are some benefits having the subject set at least a month ahead, we may want to have a pick list of say 15 topics

The only thing is will not be a 52 week project

Hows this then. In this weeks Amateur Photographer (Christmas issue) they have ideas for Christmas projects. So what about using these as a starting point, for those that have not seen it.
Project 1 - painting with light
Project 2 - One colour collage
Project 3 - Multiple exposure
Project 4 - Lose your focus
Project 5 - Abstract still life

Just need a few more (well 7) to complete the year.
I would add, fast moving target, just mono, telling a story ?
Also we could have it that you have to do one UKSE photo walk in the year? What I have found from doing the 52 is yes it get you out to take a photo, but if you end up taking a photo of a flower in the garden, as you've run out of time, then its not making you think.
Where you have a subject to think about then that must better and maybe learn a new technique. So we could add HDR( or even a NDR:rolleyes:), macro, long exposure, pano, etc

Andy

Liking the look of that definitely agree with a month is good to put the thinking cap on and not do something easy at hand to get the photo in time.

I will post it in the main forum so we can get some ideas together

Congrats on making it through the year guys! Some great shots from everyone, well done :)

Have you started up this years thread with the rules/themes yet? I think I'd like to join in just to give me another reason to get off my butt and take some photos this year.

We have put some ideas together bit more of a monthly theme.

I have been a bit slack the last week and will get a new thread sorted
