Once you think you want modifiers, take a lot at threads for the Qbox 24, Photek Softlighter II and Apollo Orb.

I picked up some Cowboy receivers and they are awesome for under $30. Never seen a problem with them.

Just a quick follow up, my 5D2 and 1Div both have a PC cord plug and so does the 580EXII. I would use a male to male cord.

Would this provide me with all the ETTL functionality of the Flash Zebra hot shoe cords?

No. PC cord is a simple trigger. No ETTL. No HSS. No FEC.

Well, then. I don't want one of those now do I? So in order to retain all of the features you mentioned, I need to use a hot shoe cord?

Or Canon ST-E2, or another Canon speedlite to do Master/Slave, or Yongnuo ST-E2, or PW Flex/Mini, or RadioPoppers, or Pixel Kings... lots more... all have their trade-offs.

Well, my 580 will do Master but I want both off camera. I may go PW later in life but today I'm a cable guy.

Then you will need either the Flash Zebra or OCFgear cable as we discussed earlier in the thread.

I know, I just wasn't sure if I could use a PC cord. Anyways, I just ordered a FZ 24 footer. I'll be taking well lit, poorly composed pictures in no time. Thanks again!

Me, myself, am considering a Photox Odin, Pixel Kings or the YN ST-E2... I have the Canon ST-E2- but it's batteries are darn expensive & non-rechargeable. (only use the ST-E2 with the t1i though)
