Question for 7D owners who've had focus issues.

I just received my new 7D with the 28-135 kit lens. This is my first Canon product after coming over from Olympus. I've read some of the posts concerning the focus issues some people have had with their 7D's.
My question is, is there a certain type of focus situation that these problems seem to occur in? If so, I'd like to try these situations with my camera to see if I have any issues so that if I do, I can return it during the return period.
I've only taken about 20 pics so far. I took some using both the Av and Tv settings. I've only used the single point AF mode thus far with the center point location.
I took pics of some trees with branches in close proximity to each other, one behind the other, and focused on the closest branch for some pics and the farther branch for the other pics.
I haven't had any focusing issues that I can tell. I know 20 pics isn't a lot for a test that's why I'm looking for opinions on what other samples or settings I should try.
Do most of you who've had the issues seem to have had it from the start or did they develop after some extended usage?
Any help would be appreciated. I sure love the 7D thus far, built like a tank, and hope the love affair continues.
Thank you.

If you don't notice it don't worry. And don't forget there is a 1 year warranty on the camera if you do run into issues.

Agree with the above. If your camera has a focus issue, it will let you know. You won't have to go pixel peeping to find it.

This is the problem with doing too much research.

In the past when I had focus issues with was always with a specific lens. For my 7D it was the 24-70L, when I had a Nikon D7000 it was the 70-200 VR II. Actually those are the only two combos I've had focusing issues with.

Use it a bunch! You'll soon know if issues exist. Most likely non will. If you begin to second guess the camera to the extent that confidence is effected then simply do some basic focus tests with a tripod and remote shutter release.

you're looking for a problem where one doesn't exist.

That's exactly what I'm hoping to hear!

If you're concerned, shoot some ISO charts according to the instructions found online. Every one of my Canon DSLR bodies has had some degree of focus issue (12 bodies in all including 2 recent 7D bodies) For some people the amount of focus issue would have been unnoticeable. For others, it would be impossible to ignore. Each person is different and this is a subjective issue. Only you can decide.
