Thought i would have go at it, used the 24-70 and 1 430 EX II

Look a bit soft to me, i dont know maybe i didnt have my settings right.

unless you were specifically trying to focus on one drop I would have closed it down to at least f/5.6 personally, the second looks fine to me but the first seems a bit soft.

Compromise.....try f/4....that is the sweet spot on many 24-70s.

Thanks for the comments. Looking back at the two...I guess the images aren't soft just not as much separation from the background. Guess that's what my mind was thinking I would accomplish shooting so wide open.

Thanks for the compliment on the business name. One day I hope to do it justice. As far as the video thanks for posting the link. If I decide to shoot this type of shot and continue to struggle with the results I will definately check it out. For me, the process of trial and error provides an opportunity to challenge myself to accomplish my vision.
