So it's supposed to be a good show around 2:30am. It'll actually be clear here and I think the moon sets at 3am. But the wind chill will be -6 or lower!!! Not sure I can handle that?!

Anyone shooting this?

I was thinking of trying a meteor shower, but getting out of a toasty bed at 2am to freeze my butt off for a photo that with my luck won't turn out well. Not so sure?

Moon sets at 2:35AM by me. I'll be out there with the camera getting some shots. They say it will be 100 meteors per hour. That's pretty active I think. That's about 1.5 per minute!

I was thinking about it... really not too motivated either. I was thinking go out at 2am and do a 1 hour sequence of shots... at least I might come home with a cool star trail shot. I wish I still lived outside of town a bit.

I will be trying to get a couple pics, as well may have my camcorder set up to see if I can get a pretty decent video. Up here in ND there is plenty of nice dark farmland.

Ah, I didn't even think of the camcorder. I'll have to locate my other tripod for that though. :)

Here in DFW Texas, and haven't seen anything yet. It's slightly cloudy which is aggravating, hopefully it will clear up a bit

I was up until 4:30 and saw nothing. Possibly too many street/yard lights by me. Oh well.

Was up for a few hours...saw one streak directly above me and setup my camera to take photos every 30secs for 30secs each. Maaaaaaaaaayyyyy have got one faint streak after going through them this AM. Was hard for me to aim at Bootes due to a house peak/satellite dish so I just picked a spot in the sky nearby.

I sat out in the cold for 45 minutes and saw four meteors streaking through the skyy. I was able to get one not so good capture of one.

Nice shot! Yeah, no way could I get up for it. I go to bed at 9:30, so staying up was out. Woke up to 9*F with a nasty 25mph wind! Maybe in summer?
