Jeff These three need to be shot/cropped tighter. Last one would be very nice cropped where you email address is and losing the space on the left of the rider. That would eliminate some space at the bottom and lose the dock or what ever is on the left side of the photo to clean it up a bit.
BTW, You have some cool shots on your web site. Nice job.

Cool shots! On the first one, I find the "tow apparatus" really distracting. Is it a neat/cool aspect of the event that the potential audience would say "Wow, that dude almost hit the tow...."

Pete Yes #3 would work as a portrait crop too. But because it’s a buter shot, I wanted to crop it wider to avoided emphasis on the rear end.

Jeremy with #1. Chose this crop because I thought it was best compromise. If I cropped the tower out the view then the riders head was too near the edge for my liking. If I cropped with the spacing between the ride and edge I wanted. Haft the motor would be showing. I could have cloned it out but did want to do that much work on it. Add yes I have tons wakes photos mostly taken at Ski Rixen in Deerfield Beach, Fla.

Unfortunately, the busy backgrounds are too much of a distraction IMHO. I'd like to see the rider separated from the background and hence provide focus to the composition
