Thanks Allen. I agree. I'm looking for more sea creatures to shoot. I want to find a whole fish next. A crab would be cool.

You are on to something. I think they could look so interesting as a series and printed very large (in feet) flush mounted on masonite with blackened edges maybe?

Thanks. I stumbled onto this. So simple. Allen the white at the bottom of the frame is coming from my tennis shoes. The edges can be controlled. These shots are not precise either so I may reshoot for a better size and process match. I do like the different light which produces different shadows across the frame and I am leaning on the pastel look.

I like'm a lot as is...I can't tell that those are tennis shoes. Just look like some splashed of white that work pretty good with the overall image in my opinion.

Kristy. Greetings! That's a nice set. Your dad is one lucky guy and he knows it! I've been enjoying your southwest landscapes. That last one is really unique and absolutely lovely. Nice work. The carnival rides of late are interesting too.

You know you could make a living walking into a room with that smile of yours. I'm here to offer you joy!

What do you get when you put Jeff Beck on stage with Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys? Probably one of the best shows I have seen in years. It was amazing. The BB's played all their top hits and it was hit after hit. Jeff Beck is by far one of my favorite guitarists. They also played together and the music was fresh and original. An awesome show. The last shows are in Akron, Toronto, Detroit, and Milwaukee.

Awww.. Joe, you are too kind.. :) *blush*
I'm glad you have been enjoying my SW images. I've been having fun with landscapes and learning as I go along.

Sounds like it was quite the show... So glad you were able to attend and enjoy!

Thanks. I love Acros. It is a shame that Fuji is raising prices every chance they get!

ahhhh! There it is... :) I love that you do such an amazing job with film! It's a lost art.

Another sea creature still life.

I really like this project. I bet you could go to the fish market and get a whole lobster, crab, and some other cool things to put under there.... How fun! :) I agree with Allen that this would be an awesome collection to be sold as a set.

Interesting light. It's almost as if you used flash for fill rather than a main. The warmth on the left side is ambient light. The light on the right side is daylight flash. The color in the backdrop breaks up the dark fairly well. The DOF is perfect. Nice suit and lovely subject.

Its all available with some actual daylight sneaking in on the right side. How does the color look on your monitor. Maybe a bit warm? I tend to go that direction with color portraits.

I bought a really cool looking preserved crab on ebay. I want to get some whole smoked herring from the fish store. Lobster is possible but they may be too big for the set. I will check around.

This is what I ordered for a crab ...

Cool Joe...

Does the image look a little yellow on your monitor? I might need to recalibrate.
