Just bought a Leica M 262. Should be here in a few days. Dumping all the Canon gear.

Sold the 200 2L and one of my 5DIIs.

Still have a 35L 24L and 85L another heavily used 5Dii (150K) and a couple of flashes Metz 58 and Canon 580 and some quantum 1 batteries and modules if anyone here is interested.

Nice! So will you be using the M 262 for your professional work?

I've been playing around with a Sony A7RII, but I just can't see myself going all the way and selling my Canon gear. Yesterday I was out with my 35L on the Sony. The Metabones adapter makes it almost seamless.

yeah I plan on picking up a used M-E or M9 for backup but yes I plan on being Canon free by late spring. I am in love with the rangefinder shooting experience. The new M 262 is so simple to use and quiet. No video or live view. YES WTG Leica....

The two lenses I will miss the most are the 200 2L and the 24L. But I eventually plan on a 90 cron and a 21 lux. Love my 35lux.

Like you, I can do without the video, but my old eyeballs do like to use live view from time to time. :-)

Leica rangefinder focusing is amazing. My eyes aren't so good these days but I have no problem. For street I hyper focus. Nice to have lenses with good DoF scales...

One of the lenses I use is an old Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mm f/2.4 with an adapter for the Sony E mount. It's an interesting mix of old and new.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Jon my dream lens is probably a 50mm 0.95 Noctilux. I will NEVER own one though. WAY to much $$$$ though they are now just under 10K.

One more used body maybe an M-E or an M9 and maybe a 21 Lux and I'm done. Still have a 35L 24L and 85L I need to sell.

Tools for the craftsman. Not many people can use those tools correctly, however, you are not one of those people.

Enjoy your new additions, I'm sure you'll make them "sing".
