New computer is great, but the CS6 installation has become a nightmare...it will not install. Keep getting error messages after the disk loads.

Posted on Adobe forums, no help yet. Chatted with Adobe, out of his area of expertise. Got a phone number, But I won't be able to yak at 'em until Friday since their hours are similar to mine...

LR3 installed and updated no prblems.

This is frustrating.

I solved my issue with a work around that I can live with, but I still have questions about why my CS6 disk would not install originally.

Okay, I decided to create a new Admin User account and shut down AV. In the new Amin user account I loaded the CS6 disk, I was returned with a :you must restart" error. I did. Re-loaded CS6, I got the installer, I got the eula, I got the product key page, I finally got into the authorized product screen, then when trying to log in my log in stalled for 15 minutes. Just a gray screen with no other options but to shut the install down with Task Manager. I did, and waited for the program to end on it's own, and NOT selecting the End Now option. I started the process again, got the the sign in and I stalled again. The third time finally got me conected, and I was then able to instal CS6x64 on my New Admin User account.

Once finished, I checked the program, good. I then shut down and restarted, but logged onto my original Admin user account. CS6x64 is there and fully functional, and plug in Silver Efex Pro 2 was added no problem.

So I am pleased I got the install working and I can fully use the program as intended, I still have questions about the issues that would not allow me to install normally.

Install Error Not resolved, but worked around.

We had a busy weekend. Graduation on Saturday, and spent the rest of that day, and all day Sunday, doing the annual fire prevention routine, mowing down the weeds and grass around the place.

My wife and I went down to the Veterans Memorial Park for their Memorial Day event. There was a much bigger crowd than in past years.

The ceremony paid special honor to Frank who passed away this last January. The flag from his funeral was raised to half mast. After WWII he was a well known local school teacher for many decades.

Afterwards we took a drive through the vineyards.

We ended up pulling into this dive, er...diner, that came highly recommended. Doesn't look like much, but the best pulled pork and BBQ beans I've had in a long time.

It's on the way to my folks house, so we're planning to go back and try some other things on the menu.

Not a good place if you're in a hurry though. It was a 35 minute wait for a table.
