30 years ago today I started a transportation company with two partners, Ken and Bob. They had experience and I was cleaning carpets but had a borrowable 17K equity in my house so the three of us made a go of it. The first sign of trouble, and it was a big sign of trouble, was when they named the company and ordered stationary without consulting me. They called the new entity KB Transportation, using their initials.
Well, I learned quick and in a few years the company was mine and for years and years I ran the whole damn thing myself ... no vacations or weekdays off. One day early on, my good friend said "you ARE KB" and the nickname stuck. KB lasted 28 years with the first 27 being good
Mid 90's or so I signed on to Weather Underground to upload pics and chose the nick kbcolorado and I've used it ever since when joining forums and the like. Time marches on, things change and the kb nick doesn't get used much anymore so it's a good time to move on and just be Paul. If kb owes you money he just left and I don't think he's coming back.
cheers
Paul
