Nikon D4 official specs leaked – analysis of new video features.

Looks like Nikon are getting serious about video in their DSLR's, which can only be good in the long run for us Canon folks.

Yeah, Nikon was actually the first to put video function on a DSLR, but Canon obviously was able to take it to a higher level, they already had a video section. Video in DSLRs is here to stay and Nikon (a long with everyone else) is stepping it up. You're right, competiton is good for we consumers :)
Now why is Canon having such a problem doing 1080 at 60fps????? Is it their codec or compression or format? Sony kills them in that department :(

Sounds to me like the 1DX is going to kill it.

Im sure Nikon makes some nice gear, I have never used a Nikon body. I just hate the way they look, Canon cameras are smooth, and nice looking. I find Nikon are very jagged and pointy looking.

1DX is going to be crazy, and 100% better since it has a Canon logo on it ;) LOL

uncompressed hdmi out..... mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Putting my fanboyism aside, I think it will be very very competitive with the 1DX, especially considering it's going to come in $2-3,000 cheaper

Yea that HDMI out is going to be very useful.

MSRP on the D4 is set at $6000, while MSRP on the 1DX is set at $7500. So were talking more like a $1500 price difference.

That and bear in mind these two bodies are still first and foremost photography cameras. Well see what the Canon 1DC brings to the table.
