Excuse me? This is a police job you respect? And what's that exactly? Enforcing traffic laws or serving warrants, both are equally dangerous. An officer doesn't choose the day, the day chooses him. The job should get respect no matter what he/she is doing. I'm one month away from starting my law enforcement career. It's been a long road to get here and it's so tiring to hear that **** from people. You don't like the speeding ticket BS? Then don't speed. If you're just saying that because that's your general assumption, then well, pity.

You really need to grow thick skin if you are really contemplating wearing the uniform..or your career won't last at least in the public sector..
good luck
Roger

These men were literally keeping my world safe seeing as a I live in the area where they serve. I am so grateful for the work our law enforcement and service men do every day.

I am so sorry for his wife and adorable little girls, his funeral was awe inspiring, and I just really hope that the other men will make a full recovery.

How horrible... :( As a wife of a police officer, it's something like this that's one of my greatest fears for my husband's job.

Logan, good luck with the beginning of your career. It's one that you'll absolutely love. My hubby's only been a PO for 4 yrs but loves every minute of it...

And not to start a debate....but even speeding tickets need to be addressed. Those injure & kill too. :(

Christian...thoughts are with you and all of the department.
