Deleting images on G12

Is there a way to delete multiple images (other than one by one) in-camera with the G12?

Too much to type out but it is done by hitting the Menu button in playback mode and selecting Erase. It's covered on page 140 and 141 of the manual. Be careful because I think the manual could cover it a little better.

That's how I had been doing it. Thought there might be a more direct way but didn't have my manual with me at the time. Don't know that I'd call the method on the pages mentioned more direct but good to know for sure.

Perhaps there is some confusion here re batch.


Formating will delete everything but there is also an erase button in the playback menu. That gives you the choice of deleting all or a range of pics with out the need for re-formatting.

Some people say do your deleting in a computer to improve the survival rate of the card...
