Why not? Is the heat screwing things up for you? Fishing hasn't been great here but I am catching some nice eyes. Surprisingly they are fairly shallow and very aggressive. Too hot to fish most days though. I have burn marks on my forehead from my sunglasses and plastic melting in my boat.

thats been it,, hot and no rain the creek I usually fish is super low and warmer then average. I caught 2 tiny gills 2 weeks ago, and had a nice huge grassie on my spey rod till it spit. its war with that fish now,, it pulled like a truck. just have other stuff going on too.

Our rivers are low as well, except the Mississippi River which is still higher than normal and has been high since spring started. They keep getting all the rain up where the miss starts and we get none. All my flowers are wilting away, haven't mowed for months. Here is a couple photos of the Rock River where I fish for Walleye in the cold months. The water has never been so low for so long. The grass you see is actually where the river usually is, it has been low so long the grass grew there.
