Lenses
XF 18mmF2 R
XF 35mmF1.4 R
XF 60mmF2.4 R Macro
Later this year Fuji will introduce more lenses, including a telephoto and probably a 23mm f/ 2.0.
Fuji will also launch their own M bayonet adapter for Leica lenses! This is what I have been waiting for! It also explains this post from a while back.
Viewfinder
Similar hybrid viewfinder like in the x100. The X-Pro 1 will have two optical degrees of magnification: x0.37 for wider lenses and x0.60 for the other lenses. This function will be controlled by the menu and can be set manually for third party lenses.

Body
Magnesium alloy body, the upper and lower part will be made out of aluminum alloy. Several new film simulation and repeated exposure are added to the menu.

Accessories
Fuji will offer new accessories:

Grip: HG-XPro1
Case: LC-XPro1
New flash: EF-X20

Was reading on this...

Honestly, i like it, that Sensor sounds nice (No AA Filter!) I expect the IQ to be near the top for any APS-C camera...

It also sounds like perhaps something i should consider to upgrade my 7D...I've been going prime happy after all...

I dunno if you have any technical background, but an AA filter not a bad thing. In fact, it's almost necessary for any electrical system. If Fuji is still using a Bayer sensor, the random RGB grid will help fight moiré, but moiré isn't the only digital artifact.

I'm still pretty interested in buying this, though, but I have a nagging doubt that it's not going to be as good as hoped given its (rumored) price point of 1500€ w/lens, which probably comes out to 1100€ or so just for the body...which isn't really all that much considering how different it is from everything else. What're they giving up?

The filter will have 6 different colors and they will placed randomly, moire should be avoided.

This according to a cut and paste from an article in the other thread running about the new Fuji.

The big question I have about this camera is what major flaw will be revealed? The X100 and X10 are both game-changers, but neither is without issue. Will there be something that trips up the X Pro 1 as well?

I am an X10 owner, and have no regrets about it, probably because it is not my primary camera. If I'd jump to the X Pro 1 it likely would be my primary kit. It would have to be very solid.

This is what i was about to post actually...

Wonder what the issue will be with this one? Slow AF i could live with conceivably...But the spot-problems on the X10 are more hesitating

I'm sold

I understand where people are coming from... but I think people should be less critical. No one buys an M9 because they expect it to be a 1D MKIV killer. They are apples and oranges, different tools to serve a different purpose, style, and/or philosophy. So, I don't think that people should expect this to be a 7D killer or even a DSLR replacement, but I'm sure Fuji will not disappoint.

I really admire Fuji for being brave and going against the grain. I don't think that their X-line of cameras fit mass appeal, and yet they are committed to it and in giving the enthusiast's what they want.

Sure, it won't be perfect... but I think this really raises the bar for mirrorless cameras, and I hope that other brands like Olympus can step up their game as well.

oOoOoOoOo now I really want one.

M-Mount adapter? Sweet! And look at the fast lenses that are stock!

Been looking at options to supplement my kit with a smaller body and this looks like a winner.

One important thing left is ISO, DR and overall quality of the images. Of course, normal manual focus would be very appreciated. I still wonder how the outer AF sensor will be implemented, should be rather precise (RF style?? ).

Image quality will probably be exceptional considering how well Fuji did with X100. I just wonder if they have implemented phase detecting AF.

Well if to assume that the two dots are the af sensors - that would mean yes.

Lenses up for preorder at Amazon: $500 each for the 18mm and 35mm, and $600 for the 60mm:

http://photorumors.com …are-now-listed-on-amazon/ (external link)

Speculation on the body price is all over the place, saying $1500-1900 for the body + 35mm. I'm hoping (but not expecting) it's consistent with the rumored euro pricing with the lenses, which would put it around $1300 for the kit.

I want one very badly... but since I've already invested in a DSLR kit, can't really justify starting up another kit and splurging even more money on essentially something that will give me pretty much identical results to what I already have.

Looks like $1699.95 for the Body. I was really looking forward to this, as a secondary/travel camera after seeing the X100, but at this price I'd be abandoning EOS. Pricey. (It is called "Pro" though)
