I'm looking for the best All-in-One pc computer. So far the best I've came up with is the Lenovo IdeaCentre B520. It comes with 8gb of RAM and is expandable to 16gb. Most of the All-in-One computers don't expand the RAM past 8gb. Unfortunately, none of the pc All-in-One computers feature an IPS monitor such as the iMac. Opinion/suggestions?

What do you want an All In One for?

Not to be biased, but all in one is the iMac...
Nothing in pc world even comes close...
For pcs, the biggest asset is being able to custom build a machine that is,powerfully and more expandable and upgradable.
But for all in ones... Pc is a no go for me...

Cheers!

If you know anything about computers..ie. building your own, specs(H/W, S/W), etc., you can build your own A-I-O..to your specs! :D

I've went over this in a previous thread. I have my reason for an All-in-One ccomputer. I need a new computer that I can edit on and also carry the computer to the studio or clients houses for in person client proofing on the computer. The larger the screen the better. I need a screen larger than what a laptop could give me and it needs to be portable similar to a laptop. So an All-in-One computer fits perfectly for what I need.

I remember.

Just go and buy the highest spec one you can afford.

There is not much else we can suggest beyond that.

Seriously lugging around a all in one is imparacticle. You would be smarter to get a Laptop, and have a external monitor, at the studio, and if you go to someones house use their TV. Everyone has a big flat screen these days.

A standard PC at home, then a tablet or laptop for portable use. I'd go with a tablet personally, because they're cheaper and fun. Ordering from it might be more difficult.

Why do you do in person proofing? I do that for portraits, but people come to my office and it's done on a 40" LCD TV. You have to show big to sell big.

I agree show big sell big. I am a member of a studio that I rent. I do not want to have clients come to my house anymore for client proofing. So I need some type of pc with me to show clients at the studio or their house. So the bigger the pc screen I can carry with me the better. I'll also be using this pc for my main editing. I do in person proofing sessions because they make more money. It is never a good idea to give a client a proofing gallery to look at for two weeks, them loosing interest over that period, and them not end up spending as much.

Totally agree re in person proofing. Why can't you put a big TV in the studio? That would be the best solution, and also people come to you that way.

That would be an extra $$$$ besides the money I have to spend on a new computer. Also, I really don't want to leave a tv in the studio when other non-members (people I don't know) rent the studio at times. If I had all the money in the world I'd have a new desktop, new laptop, and big new tv at the studio.

Look at the HP website. They have all-in-ones in the Omni and Touchsmart line. I have also seen some of their models on the shelf at places like Sam's Club.

Look at Lenovo...fastest growing All in One PC last 3 quarters. They are making a conscious effort to go after this segment of the market.
