I hope all know that the raw converter software in ACR is the same as the raw converter in Lightroom. Lightroom simply gives you built in modules for build libraries, doing non distructive editting, creating slideshows, and printing.

Lightroom is my "Raw workflow grand central" so everything ends up there.

However, I have DPP which is great for quick conversions and ACR if I want to do a "project" in CS3 going through Bridge (like multiple-image projects).

And then, you left out Aperture...

And then, there is the fact that the Corel Paint Shop Pro has recently been transformed by buying/integrating the Bibble Raw processing "engine" and has released a new product, AfterShot Pro:

Anyway, beyond what you listed, "Other" could use expanding, since there are more major players. Since you left out Aperture, obviously you are not a Mac user:)!

I know I left some out, Tony, but I could not find a way to edit the poll before I received the first reply!

1.Adobe ACR (CSn)
2.Adobe Lightroom
3.Canon DPP

I actually use them in order of 2, 1, 3

I have been using CS5 as a "quick" look with some quick processing to see if the image is worth keeping.
LR is the most used of the 3.

just a few of my thoughts...

Mainly Lightroom, but sometimes I use Capture One if LR doesn't do what I want it to - C1 seems to be better at tricky white balance/colour balance than LR.

Heh! Good to see that a few have been added to the list -- I clicked the first three, even though I use Lightroom for my "serious" work:)!

I must admit that the poll results so far are a surprise. I would have guessed that the CSn/LR numbers would have been reversed.

A few years ago I would have agreed, but anymore, Lightroom has become a one-stop solution for so many of us...

Lightroom, but currently playing with Aperture as well. Lightroom still gets most of the usage simply because I know it and can work quickly in it.
