Compact advice...

I have been asked by a friend to recommend a compact camera and have to say I have no idea where to start so thought I would ask the friendly folk on here.

The camera would almost certainly live in Auto mode and some decent reach on the zoom is desirable, at least 5X more like 10X would be better.

2nd hand is not an issue and budget is around 100GBP, my initial thoughts are to look at some of the best p&s camera from 2009 and try and find a good 2nd hand copy?

Any thoughts are more than welcome, current ideas are Canon SX200is, SX130is, SX120is... Other manufacturers are also available

The SX200 wasn't such a good camera.
If any, the SX130, although considered lower specc-ed,
has good image quality, advanced features, manual controls
a large zoom range and a strong image stabilizer. I like it.
